Blue Lotus Flower Tea

Blue Lotus Flower Tea

I was pleasantly surprised by firstly how pretty it looked in the cup as the Lotus unfurled and my favourite colour combination of purple and yellow shone up to me. The scent that rose in the steam was sweet and reminded me of candyfloss and aromas from my childhood but with a naturalness rather than the over sugaring that we find everywhere today

When it had cooled enough for me to take as sip, I noticed how much colour and flavour had seeped into the water it floated upon.

The taste was welcome, it had a floral softness that I haven't experienced before. The beauty of the tea enhanced my appreciation giving me a sense of value, value in the pause that I was allowing myself to participate in.

The focus of my eyes rippled like the surface of water and a relaxed clarity of the moment emanated through me. I inhaled tranquillity as soft thoughts echoing the word purpose flowed through but not with a feeling of having to do anything...It was an understanding that purpose was stillness.

I knew that as I sipped purposely and sunk into my body I also needed to follow the flowers lead, by sinking into myself, to understand it is the internal world that has value, the external events are not to be pulled into that place, just observed and seen with the loving touch of my consciousness.

As I sat holding the smooth warm vessel between my palms I knew I had been of service to myself by imbibing this Blue Lotus flower essence.

Wherever this bloom had grown and been harvested, whoever had taken care of its journey, gracing it with intention and love, I felt that nurture. Thankful for all of it, and everyone, recognising the beauty in this flower is pure reflection of all that is, and the loving wholeness that radiates at the frequency of love.

Thank you Mama Gaia for the beauty that you are.....
